South Bend, IN — June,19, 2026 — SBMF, a leading nonprofit provider of integrated medical services, today announced the formation of its newest business unit, SBMFRx, which will oversee the organization’s expanding network of newly acquired specialty pharmacies across the United States.
This expansion reflects SBMF’s continued commitment to enhancing patient care through thoughtfully integrated services. By bringing specialty pharmacy capabilities under the SBMFRx umbrella, the organization is further strengthening its ability to more deeply support patients with complex and chronic conditions.
The SBMFRx specialty pharmacies will enable SBMF to deliver advanced medication management, chronic disease support, and high-touch clinical services. Integrating these pharmacies into SBMF’s broader care ecosystem enhances coordination, improves access to specialized therapies, and supports better health outcomes for patients nationwide.

With the addition of SBMFRx, SBMF continues to build on its established foundation, which includes a regional blood bank, a digitally integrated anatomic pathology laboratory, and a nationwide release-of-information organization.
