FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

This November, local businesses, organizations and community members are teaming up to make a lifesaving difference through blood donation.

South Bend, Ind. – This November, the spirit of teamwork is extending beyond the playing field as Rally, South Bend Medical Foundation (SBMF) and Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center (OSMC) join forces for Give for the Game, a community-wide blood drive encouraging Michiana residents and businesses to rally around a lifesaving cause.

Blood donations are essential to maintaining a safe and reliable blood supply for patients in local hospitals. As the holiday season approaches, Give for the Game offers the community an opportunity to give something that truly matters. A single blood donation can help save lives.

The goal: 1,600 blood donations in November. Throughout the month, the partners are challenging Michiana businesses, organizations and residents to help reach this community-wide goal. Every donation brings us one step closer.

Whether you’re an athlete, a fan, a family member, a neighbor or a local business, everyone has a role to play. Businesses are encouraged to rally their employees, engage customers and challenge other local organizations to participate throughout November.

How Businesses Can Rally

  • Rally Your Team: Encourage employees to donate blood at a participating South Bend Medical Foundation donor center.
  • Spread the Word: Share Give for the Game with customers, colleagues and the broader community.
  • Challenge Another Business: Invite another local business to join the effort and help expand the impact.

Give All Month Long

Community members can donate blood throughout November at any of the three participating South Bend Medical Foundation donor centers:

  • South Bend: 3355 Douglas Road, South Bend, IN 46635
  • South Bend: 1290 Ireland Road, Suite 700, South Bend, IN 46614
  • Goshen: 2222 Rieth Boulevard, Suite 105, Goshen, IN 46526

As an added thank-you, everyone who donates at a participating donor location during November will receive an OSMC blue stress-reliever football. Donors will also be entered into month-end drawings for one of four autographed footballs from select Notre Dame football student-athletes.
