South Bend Medical Foundation Acquires ChartPro, Medical Record Administration
South Bend, IN — April 23, 2025 — South Bend Medical Foundation (SBMF), a provider of pathology and blood banking services in the Midwest, is pleased to announce the acquisition of ChartPro, a respected medical records administration company based in the Southeast. This strategic acquisition strengthens SBMF by diversifying the organization’s healthcare services offerings.
Founded in 1912, SBMF has long been a trusted partner to hospitals, clinics, and physicians throughout Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois. Following the 2019 sale of its clinical laboratory business to LabCorp, SBMF has focused on its core strengths in pathology and blood banking services. The integration of ChartPro will expand SBMF’s capabilities to managing electronic health records (EHRs), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing streamlined access to patient data for healthcare providers.
