Donate blood and be entered to win an oil change
A car can’t run without oil, just as people can’t live without blood. That’s why South Bend Medical Foundation, Zolman Tire Complete Auto Service Centers and Monteith Tire of Elkhart are teaming up to provide a daily drawing for free oil changes during February.
“Every time someone donates blood they receive a ‘mini-tune up’ including their blood pressure, hematocrit, temperature, pulse, and non-fasting cholesterol. Not unlike an oil change where your car gets a mini-tune up. So in February we will give away an oil change a day at each Donor Center location. We thank our partners Zolman Tire and Monteith Tire for providing these oil changes for our donors,” said Kay Clark-Cox, Manager of Blood Donor Recruitment.

ABN Changes
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has revised the Advanced Beneficiary Notice of Non-coverage (ABN). The mandatory use date for the REVISED ABN, FORM CMS – R -131 is January 1, 2012.
NOTE:
• The latest version of the ABN is dated with the release date of 3/2011 printed in the lower left hand corner.
• Please discard all ABNs with release date of 3/2008.
• All ABNs with the release date of 3/2008 that are issued on or after January 1, 2012 will be considered invalid.
