Manual Lab

Manual Lab

The Manual Lab consists of Foundation employees working in the Chemistry, Nuclear Chemistry and Immunology departments. They perform a broad variety of procedures ranging from the most common tests to esoteric assays. Some tests are very labor intensive while others are performed at automated work cells. Many of these tests require close supervision by highly trained personnel.

Testing methodologies include Immuno-allergen testing, EIA and Immunoblot procedures, Electrophoresis, Chemiluminescence, HPLC, ICP Mass Spectrometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Analysis, IFA Microscopy, Radioimmunoassay, and Nephelometry.

Immunochemistry testing is performed using Siemans Immulite®, Siemans Centaur®, and Diasorin Liaison® systems.
