Flow Cytometry

This fall proved to be a hectic time in Flow Cytometry as it handled the PCR testing which differentiated between the seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus. While this test kept technicians on their toes, they kept up with many routine tests including Cystic Fibrosis mutations, Fragile X Syndrome, Hepatitis and HIV. In addition to these tests, the Flow Cytometry department has a variety of Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization (FISH) panels.
