    Add 1 g boric acid per 100 mL urine, adjust pH (with boric acid) to 5.0-7.0
    Pour off 12.0 mL of urine into 3 separate plastic tubes
    Freeze urine aliquots and transport frozen
    Send urine aliquots with notation of entire 24-hour urine volume, collection time, and pH on aliquot label and on requisition
