Periodic analysis of cadmium in blood (CDB), cadmium in urine (CDU), and Beta-2-microglobulin in urine (B2MU) are to be included in these medical examinations and to be conducted regularly.

The South Bend Medical Foundation performs these tests following our internal QC/QA program for each analytical procedure. To test proficiency in the analysis of CDB, CDU and B2MU, the SBMF participates in proficiency testing program (CD) offered by the College of American pathologists (CAP).
